About Us

Splendid Seating is owned and operated by Meredith Archer and Amanda McDonald. Both Meredith and Amanda are native residents of Newport News, VA. While planning her own wedding, Meredith realized that chair covers transform a banquet room into an elegant and sophisticated space. The improvement was so significant, she decided to start her own business helping other brides make their weddings as memorable and beautiful as they can be.

As an elementary school teacher, Meredith didn't have a whole lot of free time to get her business idea up and running, so she recruited Amanda, a friend and fellow Warwick High School alumna to be her business partner.

Both Meredith and Amanda are committed to helping brides in the Tidewater area have the most beautiful and memorable wedding ceremonies and receptions possible by providing exceptional service and affordable prices.
